Your data in the app
The app stores household size, country, language, your supplies, expiry dates and settings only in your browser's storage on your device. They are not sent to any server. I cannot see them.
The app suggests your country from your device's language and time zone. This also happens only on your device.
When you save a backup, the app puts a file on your device. Where you keep it and whom you send it to is up to you.
You can delete everything at any time yourself by clearing the site data for vorrioapp.com in your browser or by removing the installed app.
Visiting the website and loading the app
When you open vorrioapp.com, your browser sends technically necessary data to the server: IP address, date and time, the requested address, browser and operating system, and your preferred language. I use the language only to send you to the matching language version; it is not stored for this.
The website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd. (61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus). Hostinger processes this data on my behalf to deliver the pages and protect them against attacks, and may keep it in log files for a short time. I do not analyse these logs or combine them with other data.
The legal basis is my legitimate interest in a secure, working service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
No cookies, no tracking
Vorrio uses no cookies, no analytics or advertising tools and no social media plugins. Fonts, images and code are loaded from vorrioapp.com itself, not from other servers.
Links to official sources
The app and the website link to the recommendations of the Austrian Civil Protection Association and the German Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance. Your browser only connects to those sites when you open such a link; their privacy policies apply there.
Support via PayPal or bank transfer
The app and the "Support" page of the website have a link "Support with PayPal". No data is sent with it. Only when you tap it does PayPal's page open (PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22–24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg); its privacy statement applies there.
If you send me money, PayPal gives me your name, email address, the amount and any message. I use this only for the payment and keep it as long as the law requires. The legal basis is processing your payment (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legal retention duties (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
If you transfer money to my account (the app and the website show the IBAN and a QR code for this; the QR code is only read by your banking app), my bank statement shows your name, your IBAN, the amount and the reference. The same applies as for PayPal payments.
Support is voluntary and without anything in return; all features of Vorrio stay free.
Contact by email
If you write to me, I use your email address and message only to reply and delete them once they are no longer needed for that.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object. Just send me an email.
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority: Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Wien, dsb.gv.at.
Changes
If Vorrio gets new features that process data differently, I will update this policy first.
